An Rfid-Based Access Control System Using Electromagnetic Door Lock and an Intruder Alert System

Abstract: Aims: The study was conducted to develop a basic security system that integrates Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), an electromagnetic lock, and a GSM Module to produce a lowcost and effective access control system. This work uses the possibility of improving access control door security by replacing a door key with a dependable electromagnetic door lock system for only authorized persons utilizing RFID and a mobile call intruder warning system. Methodology: The system is controlled by an ATMEGA328 m… Show more

“…Additionally, the system was designed to be locked with a single key press. An Arduino UNO microcontroller board is used in this system to interface the various hardware peripherals, created a deadbolt-sensing electronic combination door lock [9]. The electronic combination door lock combines a manually actuated deadbolt on the door with an outer turning knob that can be used in conjunction with a push keyboard.…”

“…For instance, Islam et al [1] developed an electronic protection system using RFID to prevent question paper leakage, while Hou et al [2] proposed a highly secure authentication module for a smart door lock with temporary key function. Sikiru et al [3] conducted a review of intelligent lock systems, and Makanjuola et al [4] designed an RFID-based access control system with an intruder alert system. Christianah et al [5] developed a biometric access control system using voice and fingerprint, and Garg et al [6] experimented with RFID-based clinical medicine dispenser.…”
