An overview on the teleost bone mechanophysiology

Abstract: Summary Vertebrate tissues are plastic and actively adapt to the mechanical environment. Teleost bone, despite differences with its mammalian counterpart, also responds to mechanical loading, evidencing the presence of a functional mechanosensing system.
