Healthy fish production requires intensive care and ensuring stable and healthy production environment inside the farm tank is a challenging task. An Internet of Things (IoT) based automated system is highly desirable that can continuously monitor the fish tanks with optimal resources utilization. Significant cost reduction can be achieved if farm equipment and water pumps are operated only when required using optimization schemes. In this paper, we present a general system design for smart fish farms. We have developed an optimization scheme for water pump control to maintain desired water level in fish tank with efficient energy consumption through appropriate selection of pumping flow rate and tank filling level. Proposed optimization scheme attempts to achieve a trade-off between pumping duration and flow rate through selection of optimized water level. Kalman filter algorithm is applied to remove error in sensor readings. We observed through simulation results that optimization scheme achieve significant reduction in energy consumption as compared to the two alternate schemes, i.e., pumping with maximum and minimum flow rates. Proposed system can help in collecting the data about the farm for long-term analysis and better decision making in future for efficient resource utilization and overall profit maximization.

Underwater sensor networks are envisioned to enable a broad category of underwater applications such as pollution tracking, offshore exploration, and oil spilling. Such applications require precise location information as otherwise the sensed data might be meaningless. On the other hand, security critical issue as underwater sensor networks are typically deployed in harsh environments. Localization is one of the latest research subjects in UWSNs since many useful applying UWSNs, e.g., event detecting. Now day's large number of localization methods arrived for UWSNs. However, few of them take place stability or security criteria. In purposed work taking up localization in underwater such that various wireless sensor nodes get localize to each other. RSS based localization technique used remove malicious nodes from the communication intermediate node list based on RSS threshold value. Purposed algorithm improves more throughput and less end to end delay without degrading energy dissipation at each node. The simulation is conducted in MATLAB and it suggests optimal result as comparison of end to end delay with and without malicious node.

Today, terrestrial Internet can be easily accessed with various types of terminals almost anytime and anywhere on the land. But this is not yet the case in the ocean mainly due to huge differences between terrestrial and marine environments. Although satellite Internet services are available in marine environments, at the time-being, they are neither cost-effective nor popular due to their inherent weaknesses in construction, launching and operation. Ever-increasing human activities in the ocean require marine Internet to provide handy, reliable and cost-effective high-speed Internet access not only on surface but also underwater in marine environments. This is due to the fact that a huge number of sensors and things have been deployed underwater, and this number is still increasing. How to interconnect them becomes an important issue that is necessarily addressed in order to form large and sophisticated underwater systems. This paper discusses the major available network technologies and new networking approaches that can be used to develop marine Internet, particularly a large scale cooperative heterogeneous wireless network, along with some further research issues.
