Abstract:The fundamental frequency plays a primary role in the dynamic assessment of Cultural Heritage towers. Local and global features may impact its value: geometric, material features, interaction with the soil and adjacent buildings, aging, the construction phase, and repairs. A database is assembled to study the relationship between the fundamental frequency and the slender masonry structure features. Empirical and physics-based approaches were developed to assess the fundamental frequency from different sources … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
