“…The flooding‐based strategies strike multiple sources over different paths, and contents are delivered back to the requester following the reverse directions 15,16,18–22,55 . It guarantees retrieving the content as Interest is forwarded to all available outgoing interfaces.…”

“… The extensive simulation of CCJRF-ICN is carried out inside ndnSIM-2.0, a simulator specifically designed for NDN research [8]. The performance of the protocol is compared against state-of-the-art protocols including LCD [9], LCE [10], CL4M [11], ProbCache [12], hash routing [13], CTR [14], co-operative forwarding [15] and multipath forwarding [16]. The protocol shows a significant performance improvement in the range of 5-35% in the context of content retrieval latency, network load, network overhead, CS hit ratio, and mean hop distance compare to state-of-the-art approaches for realistic internet topologies like GEANT, US-26, Euro-28.…”

“…The research work presented in [16] enhances the performance of the network coding based NDN (NC-NDN) paradigm using an on-demand off-path cache exploration driven multipath forwarding mechanism (O2CEMF). The objective is to have the best utilization of the multipath forwarding feature to effectively exploit the off-path cached data chunks.…”

“…The explicit approaches utilizing the off-path cached content [13]. However, the disadvantage of explicit approaches is the inevitable additional increase in network packet traffic and computational cost [13].…”
