“…Jayathilaka et al (2011) compared the mean annual rainfall of 65 stations in the Southwestern Sri Lanka, including lowlands and highlands and found that rainfall has decreased at all stations examined between the two periods, 1980-1992 and 1993-2007. This result also appears to contradict with the other studies described above. Naidu et al (2015) designated the period 1976 to 2004 as 'global warming' (GW) period, and this warming signal according to them was detected in South Asia as well.
