An iterative mathematical decision model for cloud migration: A cost and security risk approach

Abstract: This paper presents an iterative mathematical decision model for organizations to evaluate whether to invest in establishing information technology (IT) infrastructure on-premises or outsourcing IT services on a multicloud environment. This is because a single cloud cannot cover all types of users' functional/nonfunctional requirements, in addition to several drawbacks such as resource limitation, vendor lock-in, and prone to failure. On the other hand, multicloud brings several merits such as vendor lock-in a… Show more

“…The optimizing criteria for cloud task scheduling can be in such a way that it reduces the total execution cost of running tasks on processors. 17 Makespan: Makespan is the time at which the latter task performs its execution. Another criterion can be said where the optimization is done on the basis of makespan and the schedule with the least makespan is considered to be the most optimized one.…”

“…The correctness analysis of IoT service composition in some critical systems such as health care and industrial systems is an important challenge . So, evaluation of the complex communications between IoT smart devices and cloud services using formal verification is a challengeable issue Verification of service interoperability between enterprise systems and cloud services is a new challenge for the service composition issue.…”
