An investigation of the test-retest reliability of the stroop colorword test across two intervals

Abstract: The Stroop Color- Word Test is frequently used in neuropsychological settings. However, there has been no rigorous evaluation of the test-retest reliability of the commercially available version of the Stroop. The present study investigated the test-retest reliability of the Stroop across two different time intervals. In addition, the standard error of prediction and the standard error of differences were computed, and applications of the results to the use of the Stroop to document change in cognitive rehabil… Show more

“…For all analyses, random effects were used to calculate Cohen's ds for each of the outcome measures to account for the variation Adaptive programs are programs that are based on the participant's performance and match the difficulty, whereas non-adaptive programs are administered at the same difficulty regardless of the participant's performance. Process-based programs involved repeated drills that were aimed at broad cognitive domains Test-retest reliability range of r = .671 to 0.831 (Franzen et al 1987). …”

“…Accuracy and completion time are the indices by which performance is evaluated. The Stroop has been shown to have good test–retest reliability [Franzen, Tishelman, Sharp, & Friedman, ].…”
