An Investigation of Rehabilitation Counselor Characteristics, White Racial Attitudes, and Self-Reported Multicultural Counseling Competencies

Abstract: This study assessed the relationship between White racial attitudes and self-reported multicultural counseling competencies. Counselor characteristics were also examined in relation to multicultural competence. Hierarchical regression analyses indicated that racial attitudes explained variance in self-reported multicultural competencies beyond those explained by demographic and educational variables.
