Brief psychodynamic psychotherapy has also led to significant reductions in symptoms for a proportion of patients which have been maintained at follow-up (Brown & Bettley, 1971;Cormia, 1951;Schoenberg & Carr, 1963), though this has not always been demonstrated (Seitz, 1953).
