An intelligent load balancing and offloading in 3G — WiFi offload network using hybrid and distance vector algorithm

Abstract: The routing protocol is able to improve the performance of the network as compared to the traditional 3G and WiFi offload. On this study, the concept Genetic Zone Routing Protocol (GZRP) will be combined with the VHO algortihm used at the multiple base stations in 3G-WiFi offload network. Based on the results of this simulation the proposed algorithm can improve troughput and reduce handover delay. In terms of handover time, there is a significant improvement when the combined algorithm is employed as compared… Show more

“…Capacity by planning is a method for determining network scale based on capacity requirements, capacity planning used to determine the features of different regions and bandwidths. Central Jakarta has the characteristics of urban and urban dense areas [16]. According to its characteristics, central Jakarta divided into two types of urban and urban dense areas with a total productive age of central Jakarta in 2019 for urban area types is 145218 people and for urban dense totalling 687465 people [16].…”

“…Spectrum sensing at the PHY and MAC layers of CR networks, as well as its cross-layer design and application have been rviewed in [6]. At the PHY layer, the basic sensing task was to detect the presence of Primary User (PU) transmitters, for which collaboration of multiple CRs was seen effective to alleviate the challenges due to fading and shadowing effects.…”

“…This has positively affected user throughput and helped to avoid traffic overload at the base station. The [6] research makes use of the on demand Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV) with Vertical Handover (VHO) to increase the performance of the 3G -WiFi offload network at the base station side. The proposed combination is able to handle communication failures caused by traffic overload with a minimal value.…”

“…In [10][11], [16][17], has carried out research related to the use of protocols GZRP combined with VHO occupancy in order to achieve efficiency levels of data traffic, either on the network or UMTS and WiFi networks; as well as the simultaneous performance of both networks. The discussion in detail to the discussion of performance improvement GZRP protocol can be used as a very interesting discussion in order to seek more comprehensive solutions related to problems that occur in the process of load balancing using GZRP protocol.…”
