An integrated framework to prioritize blockchain-based supply chain success factors

Abstract: PurposeThe purpose of this study is to identify and prioritize the factors that can positively influence the implementation of a blockchain-based supply chain via an integrated framework. To the best of the authors' knowledge, no previous study has focused on prioritizing these factors.Design/methodology/approachFirst, this study conducts a multivocal literature review, and a total of 48 success factors (SFs) are identified and mapped into 11 categories. Second, the identified success factors and their categor… Show more

“…Currency cryptocurrencies, supply chains, scientific data storage centers, public health and intelligent cities are applications of this emerging technology [32]. Blockchain can increase the ability to track information and security in the supply chain by securing the collection, transfer and sharing of valid data at each production stage, processing, warehousing, distribution and sale [33]. The ability to detect, record, and transmit information based on radio frequency identification (RFID) and the Internet of Things, along with improving blockchain-based reliability, can increase the reliability of the knowledge gained from information storage and improve the authority to use it [29].…”

“…This enables real-time data collection and system monitoring of goods, equipment, and personnel, which improves warehousing operations, decision making, safety, and resource utilization (Jabbar et al 2018;Tang et al 2020). Besides, by using IoT, cloud technologies, and blockchain (Shoaib et al 2020), traceability and transparency can be facilitated, and the errors and delays of warehousing operations can be minimized (Lee et al 2018).…”
