An integral equation for electromagnetic wave scattering from a dielectric cylinder

Abstract: This paper describes an analysis of the problem of electromagnetic scattering by a dielectric cylinder with an arbitrary cross section by means of an integral equation a‐long the boundary. The integral equation used by Wu and Tsai for two‐dimensional boundaries for TM‐wave scattering from biological bodies is superior in simplicity to Muller's integral equation.
