An instantaneous comparison between the chemometrics-assisted spectrophotometric method and liquid chromatography, a technique for identifying antibiotics in their compounded dosage formulations

Abstract: Our study used chemometric-based UV–visible spectrophotometry and Reversed-phase chromatography (habitually stated to as RP chromatography) methods to estimate the amounts of pharmacological dosage forms with a combination of ofloxacin and tinidazole. Quantifying each drug in mixtures was done using UV absorption spectra of 280 to 320 nm and ∆λ of 0.5 nm.
