Inflammation has been reported as a facilitator in cervical oncogenesis, but the correlation between inflammation and cytology abnormality including Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia (CIN) remains uncertain. The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between them with ThinPrep cytological test (TCT) as a screening tool for cervical cancer and CIN, which can identify abnormal morphology of cervical mucosa epithelium and inflammation degrees. A retrospective analysis of clinical data from 48101 women undergoing TCT in the affiliated hospitals of Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU) revealed that among the 8.87% (4102 cases) total positive rate of ASC, LSIL and HSIL, 67.7% (2777/4102) of TCT positive samples had inflammatory infection. The rate of severe inflammation was significantly higher in cytological abnormality group than the control group (15.1% vs. 2%, P=0.000). Our results showed that severe inflammation significantly increased incidence of cytological abnormality by 12.59 times and elevated the risk of HSIL by 756.47 times. In conclusion, severe inflammation increased the risk of cytological abnormality, and should be viewed as an important risk of HISL. These results of our study remind clinicians to be more watchful for women with severe cervical inflammation in TCT reports for earlier prevention of the HSIL.

Bu derleme makalede, zenginleştirme yöntemlerinden biri olan katı faz özütleme yöntemi kullanılarak, sulu çözeltilerdeki eser metallerin tayininde kullanılmak üzere baskılama tekniği ile farklı adsorbanların sentezi ve uygulama çalışmaları araştırılmıştır. Son yıllarda baskılama tekniği kullanılarak elde edilen katı fazlar kendilerine özgü özellikleri nedeniyle çok fazla ilgi görmektedir. Bu amaçla, adsorpsiyon kapasitesi, etkinliği, seçiciliği artırılmış ve zenginleştirme faktörü yüksek, tekrar tekrar kullanılabilen, analitik performansının iyi ve sonuçları tekrarlanabilir olan adsorbanlar elde edilebilmektedir. Bu yöntem ile yüzey baskılanmış, moleküler veya iyon baskılanmış ve sahte moleküler baskılanmış çok çeşitli katı fazlar sentezlenmiş ve litaratüre bu alanda yeni çalışmalar kazandırılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, yaygın olarak kullanılan baskılanmış adsorbanların literatür araştırmaları özetlenmiştir.

The objective of this study was to determine the impact of high hydrostatic pressure (HHP) treatment on microbial communities in Chinese water-boiled salted duck (CWBSD) and the synergistic effect of HHP and mild heat treatment. In this work, the bacterial diversity was evaluated by using both a culture-dependent method and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis. The total aerobic bacterial counts in pressure-treated samples were significantly lower than those in controls, which indicated that HHP could extend the shelf life of CWBSD. Weissella hellenica and Enterobacteriaceae, the predominant bacteria found in CWBSD, were not detected after HHP treatment. On the other hand, Staphylococcus spp. and Bacillus spp. became the predominant bacteria in HHP-treated samples. Moreover, the inhibitory effect was greater at 400 MPa than at 200 MPa combined with mild heat at 40°C. This study investigated the diversity of bacteria in HHP-treated CWBSD, and the information derived from this research may help to understand the bacterial ecology and develop effective HHP treatments to extend the shelf life of CWBSD.
