An improved MULTIMOORA method with combined weights and its application in assessing the innovative ability of universities

Abstract: Innovative ability plays a critical role in the sustainable development of universities. Although the assessment of universities' innovative ability is a significant undertaking, it is difficult work. This challenge can be addressed as a typical multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problem, in which multiple attributes should be considered with different levels of importance. This paper aims to propose an integrated MADM method to solve this issue. To do so, we first introduce the least square method with… Show more

“…MULTI-MOORA method has been used in the implementation of EU energy policy priorities in the Baltic Sea Region (Siksnelyte et al, 2019). Also, MULTIMOORA has been used in the calculation of semi-human development index (Omrani et al, 2020), robot evaluation and selection (Liu et al, 2019a), innovative ability of universities (Dong et al, 2019) assessment of progress towards "Europe 2020" strategy targets (Fedajev et al, 2020).…”

“…Interval-Valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy MUL-TIMOORA has been developed considering the weighted average operator, the weighted geometric operator, and score function of IVIFNs [40,70] . Hesitant Fuzzy Set (HFS) was exploited in three studies [16,106,130] for new developments.…”

“…In future research, we shall apply the presented method to deal with several real-life problems, for instance, site selection for wind power plants, 54 assessment of the innovative ability of universities 55 and so forth. Meanwhile, we will continue to study other theories of CFS such ac fuzzy logic, basic operational, decision analysis and so forth.…”
