An Improved Medical Image Compression Method Based on Wavelet Difference Reduction

Abstract: Advanced microscopic techniques such as high-throughput, high-content, multispectral, and 3D imaging could include many images per experiment requiring hundreds of gigabytes (GBs) of memory.
