Abstract: In response to the issues of over-segmentation, excessive noise, and suboptimal segmentation results commonly encountered in existing image segmentation algorithms based on Markov Random Fields (MRF), this paper proposes an enhanced image segmentation algorithm that integrates MRF with the Sobel operator.
