“…In recent years, hands-on learning techniques such as problem-based and project-based learning (PBL) have become highly sought after in the engineering classroom (Maskell & Grabau, May 1998) (Hamblen, Aug. 2008) (Kim & Jeon, Feb. 2009) (Kim J. , Feb. 2012) (Kumar, Fernando, & Panicker, Nov. 2013) (Hu, Li, & Chen, Feb. 2015). Since its introduction, project-based learning has shown to greatly impact students' knowledge of core concepts taught in the classes and takes this learning further by allowing students to apply this knowledge to real-world applications.…”

“…Students are asked to make their own microprocessor control board by performing schematic & PCB artwork drawing and board fabrication & assembly. It seems like a significant amount of work, but students complete all the necessary circuit works from the microprocessor application course, developed by Prof. Kim at MJEE, in their junior year [10]. Transferring the circuit on a breadboard to actual PCB fabricated on their own is certainly an unforgettable experience for novice microelectronics engineers, and an example of student fabricated PCB is presented in Fig.…”

“…The survey was conducted on a voluntary and anonymous basis, using the electronic forms tool of Google. Based on the methodology employed in earlier work [3,5,11,14], the electronic form contained five statements (shown in to five levels of agreement. This format type, known as a psychometric response scale, is widely used in questionnaires where the interviewee is required to grade items according to their degree of importance.…”

“…A feature in common is the integration of one or more courses of the academic programme during the development of the project [1][2][3][4]10]. The studies presented in [11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18] describe various methodologies for the application of PRBL in the teaching of ES. The results of opinion surveys conducted in these works demonstrated greater motivation of the students as well as qualitative improvements in learning.…”
