An idea of intuitive mobile diopter calculator for myopia patient

Abstract: The diopter is the unit of measurement for the refractive power of a lens. Myopia is a form of refractive error which is a leading cause of visual disability throughout the world. The prevailing treatment of refractive errors which are commonly used in daily life are glasses and contact lenses. Although those methods can overcome myopia, many myopia patients still don't really know how to measure their current refractive error in diopter. This condition may retard the progression of refractive treatment in the… Show more

“…Participants were required to rate the ten modified question items that include three usability variables: effectiveness, learnability, and satisfaction as adapted from Lewis and Sauro's research [33] with one of five responses that range from strongly agree to strongly disagree. With an overall score of 80.50 and a deviation of 4.11, the result is quite promising, which indicates that the proposed app can easily be accepted by users [34]. Besides, participants gave positive feedback for the value and comfort provided by the instant results of the eye power tests.…”

“…This map adds a third-dimensional feature to a traditional user persona by focusing on a diachronic outline of a user and a product [16]. Recent works prove that this approach is an effective tool for rapidly gathering user stories in order to develop an intuitive application [17]- [20].…”

“…A user journey map is a modern approach for modeling and analyzing the experience of users in the field of product design. Recent insight reveals that the user journey map is one of the effective tools to construct a mental model from a system [6][7][8][9]. This map offers the traditional user personas a three-dimensional attribute by adding a diachronic outline of the user and product interaction processes [10].…”
