“…One such method could be tracking the microenvironment associated with cells, such as pH, polarity, and viscosity. [20][21][22][23] Also, elevated level various ROS such as hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ), [24] hydroxyl radical ( * OH), [25] superoxide anion radical (O 2 *À ), [26] and hypochloric acid/hypochlorite (HClO/ClO À ), [27][28][29] etc., reactive nitrogen species (RNS) such as peroxynitrite (ONOO À ), [20,30] and reduced level of various reactive sulfur species (RSS) [31][32][33] such as cysteine, glutathione, etc., during ferroptosis can be an indirect tool for monitoring ferroptosis.…”

“…In recent years, some HClO-responsive fluorescent probes and theranostic agents , have been developed. Fluorescence imaging has the advantages of perceptual intuition, real-time analysis, low cost, and lack of radiation. As the overproduction of HClO is involved in many diseases such as cancer and inflammation, new probes that can selectively detect HClO/ClO – in AML cells are required.…”
