An Extended Delay-Rational Macromodel for Electromagnetic Interference Analysis of Mixed Signal Circuits

Abstract: Abstract-This paper presents an extended delay-rational macromodel for electromagnetic interference analysis of mixed signal circuits. Firstly, an S-parameter matrix based delay-rational macromodel of the associated microwave network or system is established. Then, we extend the macromodel to include the external electromagnetic interference effects. The forced waves induced by the excitation fields are computed using full-wave method and treated as additional equivalent sources. Next, the macromodel is modifi… Show more

“…The main problem is the lack of reliable and convenient methods for analyzing and predicting PCB radiation. Until now, therefore, methods of diagnosing and solving problems of PCB radiated emission rely mostly on empirical experiences [1][2][3]. The difficulty in methods of predicting PCB radiated emission by simulation is the combination of circuit and electromagnetic models of practical interactions between integrated circuits and PCB traces [4].…”
