Digital evidence is content that must be protected against access and use by parties who should not have the authority to do so. Some protection parameters for access to digital evidence must be implemented to ensure its integrity and authenticity. Access to digital evidence is not enough to be facilitated only with authorization and authentication mechanisms but must also be facilitated with other aspects of access by users according to their level of authority. One approach is to use the concept of access control. The study of access control to digital evidence is essential. However, studies on this matter are still limited. Among the many access control models, the application of access control based on attribute variations is a concept that can be applied to the context of access to digital evidence. This paper discusses policy design and modeling using attribute-based access control (ABAC) with four attributes: subject, resource, action, and environment. Then, it implements and tests various requests to the system based on attribute variations and possible algorithms. This study supports the security of digital evidence storage systems through access control to the resources it manages using the Policy Statement, Policy Modeling, Policy Implementation, and Policy Validation approaches. The application of the access control design shows that the ABAC concept has been successfully applied as an access control solution for digital evidence stored in digital evidence storage systems. The built policy design was successfully validated using ACPT Tools, concluding that there was no inconsistency or incompleteness.

The issue of trust is a primary concern for individuals in distributed collaborative environments (DCEs), particularly in emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic. In these environments, collaboration and access to services are achieved through collaborative activities, so collaborators must have a certain level of trust to participate in and achieve the goals of these activities. Most of the trust models proposed for DCEs do not consider collaboration as a factor influencing trust, so they do not help users determine who to trust, what level of trust to assign, and why trust is important during collaborative activities. In this work, we propose a new trust model for DCEs that considers collaboration as an influencing factor in evaluating users’ trust levels according to the goals they want to achieve during a collaborative activity. One of the strengths of our proposed model is that it also assesses the trust of a collaborative teams. Our model relies on three trust components—recommendation, reputation, and collaboration—to assess trust relationships, and we dynamically assign weights to each trust component using the weighted moving average and ordered weighted averaging combination algorithm to increase flexibility. The healthcare case prototype we developed demonstrates that our trust model is an effective approach for reinforcing trustworthiness in DCEs.

With the rapid development of network technology and the continuous improvement of information resources, the network equipment mode has developed rapidly from centralized to distributed. In the distributed network environment, the security information is insufficient and uncertain: the nodes in the distributed network do not know each other's identities, resulting in the inability to obtain security related information in many cases. Therefore, this paper proposes a trust relationship(TR) model, analyzes the open distributed system(ODS), discusses the calculation method of trust degree, evaluates the validity and correctness of the model in terms of time correlation and consistency through simulation experiments, and evaluates the robustness of the model against common trust system attack methods through a group of experiments. The experimental results verify the effectiveness of the TR model.
