“…In service learning, participants will take into account the social context and circumstances of people and environment in which the learning is taking place (McCarthy, Damrongmanee, Pushpalatha, Chithra, & Yamamoto, 2005). Although the practice of service learning has been widely adopted in higher education institutions, including those in Asia (Lau, Chan, Yeung, & Snell, 2021; Ma, Chiu, & Wei, 2019; McCarthy, 2009; McCarthy et al , 2005), few service-learning studies examined how the learning process affects other stakeholders involved in the LO as conceptualized in LO 2.0.
