Abstract: Severe physical injuries and associated traumatic brain injury and/or hemorrhagic shock (HS) remain leading causes of death worldwide, aggravated by accompanying extensive inflammation. Retrospective clinical data indicated an association between mild hyperoxemia and improved survival and outcome.
