An experimental course in advanced programming methods

Abstract: An experimental graduate course where students learn good programming and system design techniques through writing systems of programs in chief-programmer teams (CP-teams) is described. The course seems very worthwhile. Some of the things learned by students and the instructor are described, appropriate changes for the next offering of a similar course are described.
