Abstract:Discovering relationships between variables is crucial for interpreting data from large databases. Relationships between variables can be modeled using a Bayesian network. The challenge of learning a Bayesian network from a complete dataset grows exponentially with the number of variables in the database and the number of states in each variable. It therefore becomes important to identify promising heuristics for exploring the space of possible networks. This paper utilizes an evolutionary algorithmic approach… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
