Abstract: Pulmonary impairment and decreased functional capacity are significant concerns following cardiovascular surgery, leading to extended hospital stays and mortality. Non-invasive ventilation (NIV) can provide significant prophylactic and therapeutic benefits in pre-operative and postoperative respiratory failure following coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery.
