An Evaluation for Sustainable Mobility Extended by D Numbers

Abstract: How to evaluate the impact of transport measures on city sustainability effectively is still an open issue, and it can be abstracted as one of the multiple criteria decision making problems. In this paper, a new method based on D numbers is proposed to evaluate the sustainable mobility of city. D number is a new mathematical tool to represent and deal uncertain information. The property of integration of D numbers is employed to fusion information. A numerical example of carsharing demonstrates the effectivene… Show more

“…Definition A BPA function m is a mapping of 2Θ to a probability interval [0,1], formally defined by m :2normalΘ[0,1], which satisfies the following conditions: m()=0A2Θm(A)=11.0em0m(A)11.0emA2Θ. The mass m(A) represents how strongly the evidence supports A, where the exclusive condition of each basic event is satisfied …”

“…Many math tools are presented to model uncertainty, such as Z numbers, [53][54][55] D numbers, [56][57][58][59][60][61] and entropy model. [62][63][64][65][66][67] Among then, evidence theory is widely used due to its efficiency to deal with uncertainty.…”

“…Uncertainty is very important in many fields, which has attracted many researchers' attention . There are various models to handle uncertainty, including fuzzy sets, rough sets, Z numbers, D numbers, R numbers, intuitionistic evidence sets (IES), Two Dimension Belief Function (TDBF) and Dempster‐Shafer (D‐S) evidence theory and so on . D‐S evidence theory attract more and more attention due to it needs weaker condition than the Bayesian probability .…”
