An Enhanced Partial Transmit Sequence Based on Combining Hadamard Matrix and Partitioning Schemes in OFDM Systems

Abstract: The partial transmit sequence (PTS) considered as one of the efficient approaches to restrain the high peak to average-power ratio (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) frameworks. PTS relied on partitioning the input data block and rotate them with a set of the phase vectors. In this study, a novel technique is suggested to improve the PAPR reduction performance in the PTS technique by combining Hadamard matrix and the popular kinds of the partitioning schemes interleaving scheme (IL-PTS… Show more

“…The CC of the IL-PTS is the lowest among the traditional schemes [24]. This result is because the IL-PTS method requires few IFFT stages to transform the subblocks in the TD depending on the Cooley-Tukey IFFT algorithm.…”

“…The PR-PTS algorithm is the most convenient traditional segmentation scheme with PAPR reduction capacity [24]. In the PR-PTS, the subcarriers are allocated arbitrarily within the subblocks, with active subcarriers assigned only once inside each subblock, as shown in Figure 3.…”

“…This can attribute of that the PR-PTS and Ad-PTS should implement all the stages of the IFFT to transmit the subblocks from the frequency-domain into the time-domain. In contrast, the IL-PTS scheme has low computation complexity when using Cooly-Tukey IFFT algorithm [24]. Because of the periodic transition of the subcarriers, the IL-PTS scheme does not perform all the IFFT stages to transform the subblock into the time-domain.…”
