Abstract:This paper presents a new type of autonomous robotic fish with vision-based target tracking and obstacle avoidance. The robotic fish can sample images through its eye and recognize the meaningful color patch via a special vision algorithm. Specifically, an ARM9-centered microcontroller in conjunction with a CMOS camera for image acquisition is developed to effectively handle local visual information serving as the basis of underwater navigation. Meanwhile, a wireless interactive control console is devised, fac… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
