Kur’ancılık ekolü, kökeni hakkında bazı ihtilaflar olmakla birlikte modern döneme özgü bir harekettir. Ortak vasıf olarak Kur’an’ı tek ve yeter kaynak kabul eden ekol, sünnete, mezheplere ve gelenek olarak isimlendirilen dini müktesebata mesafeli yaklaşmaktadır. Bazı âyetlerin literal anlamından hareketle, Kur’an’ın her şeyi kapsadığını iddia eden ekol mensupları, metin merkezci bir anlayışla her şeyi Kur’an’dan çıkarmaya tevessül etmekte ve bu bağlamda te’vil kapısını sonuna kadar açmaktadır. Bu duruma verilebilecek en güzel örneklerden birisi de namazdır. Kur’an’da bütün peygamberlere emredildiği bildirilen, fakat detayları belirtilmeyen namazın uygulaması Hz. Peygamber’in sünnetiyle sabittir. Ancak sünnete ve geleneğe mesafeli duran ekol mensuplarının namaz hakkında farklı yorum ve yaklaşımları mevcuttur. İşte bu çalışma, Kur’ancılık ekolü mensuplarının namaza bakışını tahlil etmekte ve bu ibadet özelinde onların Kur’an anlayışları hakkında tespitlerde bulunmayı hedeflemektedir.
