An efficient underwater absorber using pentamode metamaterials for broadband frequency

Abstract: To further design and develop broadband and efficient underwater sound absorption structure, we propose a hybrid acoustic structure composed of a rubber matrix layer, cylindrical cavity, pentamode metamaterial (PM) layer, impedance matching layer, and steel backing plate.
