An Efficient Family of Estimators for Population Mean Using Known Parameters of Auxiliary Variable Under SRS

Abstract: In this chapter we propose a family of estimators to estimate the mean of finite population using quartile functions of auxiliary variable under simple random sampling. The expressions for the Bias and mean square error (MSE) of the competing and proposed family of estimators are derived up to first degree of approximation.
