Abstract:A facile electrochemical synthesis of selenocarbamates from multicomponent reactions of isocyanides, diselenides, and water is developed here. This strategy provides a mild, direct, and complementary approach for synthesizing selenocarbamates in moderate to excellent yields with good substrate tolerance. The simple undivided cell setting with carbon/Pt electrodes proceeded smoothly. A radical pathway was proposed by preliminary mechanistic research.
