An efficient combined local and global search strategy for optimization of parallel kinematic mechanisms with joint limits and collision constraints

Abstract: The optimization of parallel kinematic manipulators (PKM) involve several constraints that are difficult to formalize, thus making optimal synthesis problem highly challenging.
