An efficient and secure technique for image steganography using a hash function

Abstract: Steganography is a technique in which a person hides information in digital media. The message sent by this technique is so secret that other people cannot even imagine the information’s existence. This article entails developing a mechanism for communicating one-on-one with individuals by concealing information from the rest of the group. Based on their availability, digital images are the most suited components for use as transmitters when compared to other objects available on the internet. The proposed tec… Show more

“…Steganography hides secret data in a public file to prevent visual detection.Steganography is technique of encrypting messages into other media assets [55].Steganography can be divided into two types: spatial-domain and frequency-domain. The spatial domain-based data hiding techniques embed the secret data by modifying the pixel values directly using the techniques least significant bit (LSB) and most significant bit (MSB).The frequency domain-based data hiding techniques first transforms the original image intofrequency coefficients, and then the secret data is embedded into the transformed frequencycoefficients.Transformations that arecommonly used include discrete cosine transform (DCT), discrete wavelet transform(DWT) and singular value decomposition (SVD) [56][57].This paper will use LSB and SVD as data hiding techniques in the proposed vision of securing 6G.…”

“…Same train but different coaches, quantum mechanics and classical mechanics are both extremely important in physics. In quantum computation, it harvested these main elements from quantum mechanics namely quantum entanglement, qubit (quantum bit) and superposition [10][11][12][13]. Substantially, combining these elements would definitely elevates the computing power in quantum computer.…”

“…Nezami et al [18] suggested a method that employs the hash function for steganography, and the Caesar cipher and Vigenère to encrypt the message before the hiding process. The proposed approach uses a cover image in the spatial to hide encrypted data.…”
