The corona virus has infected the entire world in the most severe ways. Many countries found the situation is very difficult to deal with and their health support infrastructure is not sufficient to manage the spread. People are locked in their homes and the whole world economy is in danger. That final vaccine has not yet reached the masses to deal with the epidemic. The corona virus, also known as COVID-19, can be spread by touching or coming close contact with an affected person, which is why the risk becomes so significant. However, the emergence of new emerging innovative technology such as blockchain and the Internet of Things (IoT) has changed the healthcare sector, especially in preventive measures. Different devices have ushered in a new era in the field of symptom-based diagnosis where doctors can most easily identify a person with a corona infection. This article presents a robust health-based IoT systems that can strengthen full COVID-19 administration and achieve greater results with available resources. The simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed infection detection system.

The evolution of 4G telecommunication propagated various resource-crunched clients to experience rate-effective resources at ease. However, it extends its underlying centralised architecture, which arouses various challenges correlated with network data availability, network information protection, and operational infrastructure charges. With the recent revolution of telecommunication, 5G networks promised to provide credible schemes like the high quality of service, ultra-low latency, and much security over the pre-existing architecture. However, the deployment of end-to-end 5G network cutting-edge systems in the present heterogeneous world limits its core idea of extensive data privacy, native interoperability, risk-free interference, and radio spectrum sharing. Perhaps, to achieve its true capability, improved versions of blockchain technology could be aligned to strengthen various real-time complex applications at a flourishing rate. One of the multiplexed real-time enterprise applications is a keyword search engine where the integrity of user data files and keyword searches are bound to come under cyber hackers. On the one hand, it was found that when a 5G-based blockchain emulated network gets deployed with intact encryption techniques, the entire system facilitates to give reliable, efficient, and risk-free keyword search over variegated 5G network data and its complex computational calculations. Consequently, the use of blockchain-based decentralised cloud orchestration scheme at various levels enabled the architecture to remain incorruptible and protects all the confidential files and keywords in a fully controlled file access environment. The results of the simulation kernel shows that proposed architecture which, when combined with blockchain-based decentralised cloud orchestration network system, justify all the essential characteristics and effectuates the optimal use of 5G network sharing by each network entity.This is an open access article under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License, which permits use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

Smart cities have the potential to overcome environmental problems caused by improper waste disposal to improve human health, protect the aquatic ecosystem, and reduce air pollution. However, today's systems, approaches, and technologies leveraged for waste management are manual and centralized that make them vulnerable to manipulation and the single point of failure problem. Also, a large portion of the existing waste management systems within smart cities fall short in providing operational transparency, traceability, audit, security, and trusted data provenance features. In this paper, we explore the key role of blockchain technology in managing waste within smart cities as it can offer traceability, immutability, transparency, and audit features in a decentralized, trusted, and secure manner. We discuss the opportunities brought about by blockchain technology in various waste management use cases and application scenarios, including real-time tracing and tracking of waste, reliable channelization and compliance with waste treatment laws, efficient waste resources management, protection of waste management documentation, and fleet management. We introduce a framework that leverages blockchain-based smart contracts to automate the key services in terms of waste management of smart cities. We compare the existing blockchain-based waste management solutions based on important parameters. Furthermore, we present insightful discussions on several ongoing blockchain-based research projects and case studies to highlight the practicability of blockchain in waste management. Finally, we present open challenges that act as future research directions.
