Optimization of energy consumption in Elevator Group Control System (EGCS) has become a concerning issue due to the global energy crisis. To resolve this concern, only a handful amount of approaches, based on swarm intelligence, have been implemented. For this reason, this study implements and analyzes the energy-saving EGCS based on two popular metaheuristic algorithms: Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Genetic Algorithm (GA). The performance analysis of these two algorithms in energy-saving EGCS reveals that both of the algorithms have some pros and cons. While PSO can optimize energy consumption much better than GA in most cases, the trapping in local minima or pre-mature convergence of PSO makes its performance worse. GA, on the other hand, is unable to reduce energy consumption in EGCS to a considerably lower level. However, the average energy consumption and standard deviation of GA are superior to that of PSO. In the case of computational time, PSO outperforms GA, which makes PSO a popular choice where faster computation is required.

A b s t r a c t: Elevators are one of the most important mediums of transport in many buildings and working environments. With the development of the architecture, the buildings are getting higher and logically needs to upgrade the way the elevators are currently working or to predict the errors before they happen. The solution lies in changing the current system with a PLC (programmable logic controller). On the other hand, minimization of errors in combination with eco-friendly solutions is the new purpose. This new point of view, which focuses on minimizing and reducing errors, vibrations, more economically is named green elevator. Related to the idea of using green elevators and making buildings more environmentally friendly, the main goal of this paper is to give a new, "green" direction to elevators.

Smart home automation integrates advanced technologies for efficient, convenient, and secure residential living. It employs sensors and actuators to collect data and automate physical tasks. Connectivity protocols Wi-Fi enable seamless communication among devices. This project presents a simpler IoT based home automation system using ESP8266 and Cadio app. This project includes security features include smart user behaviour lighting, motion detection, automatic water level control and locks, enhancing real-time monitoring and remote access. Voice control via virtual assistants like Alexa and google assistant adds a hands-free dimension to device management. Artificial Intelligence teaches user behaviour, enabling the system to automate routines over time. Customization options allow users to create personalized scenarios and routines tailored to their preferences. Here there is no code needed and it is easy to integrate and control. Using this IOT based home automation system reduces electricity bill of consumer and reduces carbon footprint at lower cost by implementation of this home automation project.
