An Assessment Framework for Engineering Education Systems

Abstract: Based on a return on experience, this paper describes and analyzes the application of model-based assessment taking inspiration from ISO 15504 Process Assessment Models and Measurement Framework to the domain of higher educational systems. The context of the analysis is a medium higher educational institution in engineering. A worldwide used educational framework for engineering education quality is first described. By analyzing its underlying assessment model and measurement framework, the authors propose som… Show more

“…The process measurement framework conforms to the requirements of ISO/IEC 33003 and is applicable to any domain, e.g. HEI programmes as proposed by Rouvrais and Lassudrie (2014). The process measurement framework may be included in any process assessment model for the assessment of process capability.…”
