In regard to such challenging analysis problems as scientific identification and quality evaluation of Chinese traditional medicine, the electrochemical fingerprint technique of Chinese traditional medicine has been researched. The principle, traits, functions, etc., of the electrochemical fingerprint have detailedly been analyzed and discussed by the B-Z oscillatory system using malonic acid as main dissipation substance, characterized by the fact that different influences of different Chinese traditional medicines on the mechanism of the oscillatory reaction cause different changes of the shape of the potential-time curve of the oscillatory system under the conditions of constant temperature and pressure. Those have badly restricted the security of employing CTMs and the stabilization of the curative effects, and have also restricted the developments of the research and application of CTMs. Therefore, none but scientific identification and quality evaluation to CTM can ensure the employ security and stabilization of the curative effect of the CTM, providing the entrance of CTM into the international medicine market with the quality guarantee. The fingerprint technique of CTM also emerged as the needs of the times, and its important actions in the differentiation, evaluation and quality control of CTMs have been realized widely by people [2] .
