An application of market window analysis: The case of vegetables grown on reclaimed phosphatic clay in Florida

Abstract: A market window analysis was constructed to analyze the market potential for vegetables grown on reclaimed phosphatic clay in Polk County, Florida. Weekly new returns averaged over an eight year period in nominal and real terms were used to identify market windows. Five vegetable crops, cabbage, cucumbers, peppers, and several types of squash and sweet corn were included in the analyses.
