GHz에서 전후방비가 15 dB 이상이며, 스위칭에 따라서 8방향으로 빔 조향이 가능하다. AbstractIn this paper, a 2.6 GHz switched parasitic array(SPA) antenna is designed to resolve the device interference in the femtocell. The designed SPA antenna structure consists of a central λ/4 monopole antenna as a radiator and surrounding four parasitic elements operating as a reflector or a director depending on the switching state. In addition, open state monopoles around the parasitic elements are placed to improve the directivity. The designed antenna utilizes RF FETs as switching elements instead of conventional PIN diodes, which enables beam steering with a simple structure consuming low power. To select the proper FET switch, the performance of the SPA antenna depending on the switch characteristics is analyzed. The fabricated antenna has 65 mm radius and 35 mm height, which shows about 15 dB front-back-ratio(FBR) at 2.6 GHz and enables eight-directional beam steering.

In this paper, we investigate the replica interference problem of a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) receiver with a beam switching antenna (BSA) within the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) framework. Our frequency-domain analysis has revealed the following important findings: (i) without co-existing system, replica interference in the system can be completely avoided as long as the beam pattern switching rate of the BSA receiver is an integer multiple of the product of the OFDM sampling rate and the number of receiving beam patterns and (ii) with co-existing systems, replica interference cannot always be avoided because co-existing systems may induce replicas in the operating frequency bands of the system. We present a replica interference criterion that depends on the co-existing status and users' beam switching capabilities. Based on our findings, we propose various replica interference avoidance (RINA) strategies for different co-existing and cooperating network scenarios. In addition, the overall network operation principles of the proposed RINA strategy are presented. Simulation results verify that the proposed MIMO-OFDM system with a BSA successfully provides both MIMO and OFDM benefits, thereby resolving replica interference issues.

Beamspace MIMO (BS-MIMO) systems have been recently proposed as a means to address the two key weaknesses of conventional MIMO systems: the antenna size and the need for multiple RF chains. BS-MIMO transmission is supported by the Electronically Steerable Passive Array Radiators (ESPAR) with a single active and multiple parasitic elements. The main objective is to develop efficient MIMO multiplexing schemes that use only one Radio Frequency (RF) chain and simultaneously maintain extremely small antenna size. Moreover, the recent research results have shown that BS-MIMO systems have increased multiplexing and beamforming capabilities and for small antenna sizes clearly outperform equivalent conventional systems in terms of system capacity. Nevertheless, research on BS-MIMO has been focusing on the study of the ESPAR antenna properties that facilitate beamspace transmission and the theoretical analysis of the ergodic capacity provided by the aerial degrees of freedom (aDoF) of the beamspace channel. Recently, the first steps have been made to design and evaluate practical BS-MIMO systems. This paper presents extended results of the first attempt to design practical and realistic BS-MIMO transmission and reception schemes and it specifically focuses on channel estimation techniques for BS-MIMO systems with adaptive pattern reconfiguration.Adaptation of the basic least-squares (LS) and minimum mean squared error (MMSE) estimators for the beamspace radio channels is performed and the algorithms are incorporated in an adaptive Singular Value DecompositionJournal of Cyber Security, Vol. 2 No. 3 & 4, 265-290. doi: 10.13052/jcsm2245-1439
