Hypocoagulability was detected and this may be regarded as a great advantage for the use of micro filters in polytrauma [1], Due to the degeneration of blood cells a slight hypercoagulability developed during the time of blood storage [3]. Therefore all filters retaining this procoagulant material are very useful in the treatment of patients with poly trauma, especially those needing massive trans fusion.…”
