An analysis of eta -production via the p6Li to eta7Be reaction

Abstract: A semi-phenomenological model is constructed for the 6Li (p,T))'Be reacrion using cluster decomposition models for the 6Li and 'Be nuclei. Wavefunctions derived from potential model descriptions of these WO nuclei give rise to form factors which are too small lo fit the new experimental data. On the other hand, form factors deduced from erperimenral data on the analogous 6Li(p,rr+)'Li and 6Li (d,p)'Li single-nucleon transfer reactions at high momentum Vansfers give a plausible description.
