An Alternative Technique of Intrauterine Blood Transfusion

Abstract

The original method of intrauterine transfusion and its modifications are outlined. An alternative technique and the reasons for employing it are dispussed. For most cases the original method of intrauterine transfusion of Liley or slight modifications of it gives good results compared to intrauterine transfusion by hysterotomy or through transabdominal amnioscopy or intra‐amniotic injection of blood.
