An All-Solid-State Nitrate Ion-Selective Electrode with Nanohybrids Composite Films for In-Situ Soil Nutrient Monitoring

Abstract: In this paper, an all-solid-state nitrate doped polypyrrole (PPy(NO 3 − ) ion-selective electrode (ISE) was prepared with a nanohybrid composite film of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and electrochemically reduced graphene oxide (ERGO). Preliminary tests on the ISE based in-situ soil nitrate-nitrogen (NO 3 − -N) monitoring was conducted in a laboratory 3-stage column. Comparisons were made between the NO 3 − -N content of in-situ soil percolate solution and laboratory-prepared extract solution. Possible influentia… Show more

“…34 All-solidstate ISEs do not include an internal reference electrode that leads to ease of miniaturization and automation. 35 In the present study, development of a new NO 3 À -ISE using a PVC membrane and its application in algal production were reported. In this context, C. minutissima was cultivated in a batch photobioreactor, and the microalgae growth was monitored via optical density analysis.…”

“…The the DL of ISEs were 28.2 and 20.6 µM for NH 4 + and NO 3 − , respectively. The nitrite-doped polypyrrole (PPy-NO 3 ) with a nanohybrid composite mediate layer of electrochemically reduced GO and Au nanoparticles was employed for an all-solid-state nitrate ion-selective electrode for in-situ soil nutrient monitoring in [61]. The sensor had a DL of 6.3 µM and an over two-month lifetime.…”

“…Because the predefined parameter values may not contain the globally optimal parameter values, the aforementioned model cannot achieve the best effect [29]. In order to overcome the problems of machine learning models in finding the best model parameters, classical optimization algorithms such as the genetic algorithm and the particle swarm optimization algorithm are used to optimize the internal parameters of machine learning models [30]. However, classical optimization algorithms such as particle swarm optimization (PSO) are sensitive to the initial parameter setting, and it is easy to fall into the locally optimal solution in the optimization process, resulting in slow convergence speed in the later stages of the algorithms [31].…”
