An Aggregation‐Induced Emission‐Based Fluorescence Turn‐On Probe for Efficient Detection of HS in Water, Wine, and Living Cells

Abstract: Hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S), as one of the important endogenous biological regulators, plays a critical role in mediating a wide range of physiological processes. The development of rapid, sensitive, and reliable detection techniques for H 2 S would be highly appealing. In this paper, a new type of AIE-based fluorescence turn-on probe TPA-M for the detection of H 2 S has been constructed, involved the rapid release of AIE-based fluorophore TPA-CHO with a remarkable fluorescence turn-on phenomenon in THF/H 2 O (2/… Show more

“…Li and Tang reported 509 (TPA-M), which includes an ortho-aldehyde to improve selectivity. 532 This probe generated an AIE response to H 2 S with good selectivity 533 The resultant probe was also used to image exogenous H 2 S in HeLa cells.…”

“…This probe was also used to image exogenous H 2 S in zebrafish. Li and Tang reported 509 (TPA-M), which includes an ortho -aldehyde to improve selectivity . This probe generated an AIE response to H 2 S with good selectivity for H 2 S over competing analytes and was further used to image exogenous H 2 S in MCF-7 cells.…”
