An agent-oriented architecture for F.M.S. control/monitoring

Abstract: This paper presents a multi-blackboard approach to design and implement a controllmonitoring system for the Automation of Production Systems. The proposed architecture is composed of several controllmonitoring agents (CMAs) organised hierarchically. Communication between agents is done through a corresponding hierarchy of blackboards, in which the consistency of replicated data is maintained.
