Abstract:Conjugated molecules with lowl ying LUMO levels are demanding fort he development of air stable n-type organic semiconductors. In this paper,w er eport an ew A-D-A'-D-A conjugated molecule (DAPDCV)e ntailing diazapentalene (DAP) and dicyanovinylene groups as electron accepting units. Both theoretical and electrochemical studies manifest that the incorporation of DAPu nit in the conjugated molecule can effectively lower the LUMO energy level. Accordingly, thin film of DAPDCV shows n-type semiconducting behavior… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
